To thoroughly implement the work arrangements of the "14th Five-Year Plan for Cold-Chain Logistics Development" and the "Action Plan for Effectively Reducing Logistics Costs Across Society", the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) recently studied, determined and released a new list of national key cold-chain logistics bases for construction. Nineteen national key cold-chain logistics bases, including those in Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Yantian, were selected. The 19 bases included in the construction list play a good demonstration and leading role in improving the cold-chain logistics network, meeting residents' consumption needs, and leading the digital and green transformation and development of cold-chain logistics.

To better supervise medical insurance funds, China’s National Healthcare Security Administration, together with the Ministry of Finance, the National Health Commission, and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, announced the launch of the 2022 Annual Unannounced Inspections on Medical Security Funds starting from May. Among them, the storage conditions of cold chain-related drugs and medical consumables are one of the key inspection contents.

The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee held a meeting on July 30 to analyze the current economic situation, arrange economic work for the second half of the year, and review the Accountability Regulations of the Communist Party of China and the Comprehensive Report on the Third Round of Inspections by the 19th CPC Central Committee. The meeting was chaired by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
